Since 1991-1993 — Secretary of Council of Founders of the International Association of Peace Foundations.
During 1993-2003 – Executive Secretary of Board of the Russian Peace Foundation.
In 2003 she was elected as Vice-Chairman of Board of the Russian Peace Foundation.
From 1996 to 2005 she worked in the State Duma of the Russian Federation as an Assistant to Twice Hero of the Soviet Union, cosmonaut S. Savitskaya, since 2005 — First Deputy Chairman of Board of the Russian Peace Foundation. She regularly participates in UN ECOSOC sessions (New York), Council of Europe (Strasbourg), UNESCO (Paris); a member of Council of Association of Friends of France.
Since September 2012 – a member of Coordination Council at the President of the Russian Federation on realization of National Strategy of Actions in the interests of children. Actively cooperates with Russian Orthodox Church in spiritual revival of the Fatherland.
In 2005 she was awarded the Order of the St. Princess Olga of the III degree of Russian Orthodox Church. Realizes the musical and educational project for children and youth "Music of children's hearts", within which 25 000 pupils of music schools, pupils of boarding schools and orphanages free of charge attended concerts of the Youthful symphonic orchestra of Russia. She is awarded the highest award of the Russian Peace Foundation - the Gold medal "For Peacekeeping and Charity" (2001), an Jubelee medal of Society of solidarity and cooperation of the countries of Asia and Africa - "50 years of SSCCAA" (2006), a Prize sign of Association of Friends of France (2008).
She is awarded Diploma of the UN High Commissioner for affairs of refugees. By the Order of the Russian President of 19.06.2013-рп. No. 245-рп for the achieved labor success, long-term conscientious work and vigorous public work E. Sutormina was thanked officially by the President of the Russian Federation.
