The Government of India recently hosted the 6th BRICS Culture Ministers Online Meeting. The meeting was attended by delegates from the Ministries of Culture of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Russian Federation, the Republic of India, the People's Republic of China and the Republic of South Africa.
Prahlad Singh Patel, Minister of State (I // C) for Culture and Tourism, expressed his worries about the cultural environment of the BRICS countries after a year and a half of epidemiological conditions. A discussion was held on the development and expansion of cultural activities between the BRICS countries on the topic "Communication and Harmonization of Cultural Synergy". He drew attention to cooperation in the field of online exchange of cultural experience in the knowledge of tangible and intangible heritage between the BRICS countries and stressed the importance of the role of culture in establishing an active international humanitarian dialogue.
Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, also addressed the meeting participants. In her video message, the Minister thanked her colleagues from the Republic of India for the opportunity to share her experience and ideas regarding the "Unification and Harmonization of Cultural Synergies" in the framework of the traditional meeting of the BRICS Ministers of Culture.
As a result of the meeting, the interest of the participating countries in maintaining a cultural dialogue, unification and development was confirmed.
